10/25 - magical proposal
It’s nice to see people experiencing magical moments. For this lady, this is probably as magically memorable as it’s gonna get.
And on the other hand, for this other lady, it’s probably the most miserable. Ha. (I don’t really agree with revenges, by the way, as much as some deserve it. But this is pretty creative.)
10/19 - chatter phone with bluetooth
This nostalgic chatter phone from Fisher-Price now has bluetooth and can send and receive calls from your smartphone. Their ad is amazing.
10/15 - 25 experiments in 15 minutes
This is pretty interesting. Especially at 2:24. Not magic, but magical. The whole thing is a fun watch.
10/12 - backstage peek
Check this out- someone made a super cool side by side comparison of Penn & Teller performing an illusion, and then they’d expose the method with see through props. I recut it because I didn’t like the original edit, so there are some discrepancies because I tried to get the timing right, but it’s pretty cool to watch it side by side.
After seeing this, I felt compelled to do make one with their cups and balls too. No need to thank me. Also, interesting fact- I discovered that they perform the exposure part about 22% faster as I had to slow down the clip to play at 88% speed.
Speaking of Penn & Teller and exposing routines, I remember their cigarette routine from a while back. I think I first saw it on World’s Greatest Magic. I couldn’t find that one, but they do it all the time, so here it is on Fool Us.
I found this cool chart on reddit based on their routine. It would be cool to print this out as a card and come up with a cool card trick to accompany it. I’ll think on this and will report back if I can think of something interesting.
10/7 - just for laughs
Just for Laughs is one of the more wholesome prank shows out there and pretty fun to watch. I’m a fan and binge their content from time to time. I came across one of their compilation of best of disappearing pranks. It did not disappoint. Thought I’d share it for the month of spookies. It’s got the best bill vanish I’ve ever seen. I won’t tell you where it is, you’ll just have to watch the entire thing. It’s worth it.
10/5 - prediction
Found this funny Tumblr site: You’re Thinking Of My Prediction
Basically it’s a bunch of products or performances that does mind reading before revealing a prediction. If it’s already predicted, why is there mind reading involved?
Anyways, I saw this thing on reddit and think it would be a super sweet prediction reveal on a newspaper. Imagine picking up a newspaper and doing this in a social setting. The newspaper in the gif is in Japanese, but definitely can be worked out in other languages or even images.
10/04 - update + lifetime IT supply
Sup everyone. Sorry for the quiet September. It was a busy month for me. No idea who is still visiting this site, but I do want to post more often. I have a couple of things I plan on sharing this month. One of which is finally finishing the first part of my “notes”. Haha.
Anyways, to kick off October, I came across this pretty incredible deal for IT. $20 for a lifetime supply + Danny Garcia. I don’t really do any IT work so haven’t bought this, but anything with Danny is a pretty incredible deal. Check it out on ScamStuff.com.
This reminds me of something Tony Chang showed me a while ago with a loop. I’ll hit him up and see if he’ll let me share it here.
